On Dead Blog Sites
On dead blog sites the pixels glow
Among the archives, row on row,
That hold our posts; and to them still
The links, unclicked and unused, will
Point — to no new content, though.
We are burnt out. As cycles go
The news no longer makes us blow —
Not hot nor cold, for good or ill,
On dead blog sites.
Take up our sniping at Karl Ro-
ve: ’tis your job now to lay him low.
For if Bush lies again (he will!)
Condemning him just will not thrill
Us any more, though words still show
On dead blog sites.
(Inspired by Mad Kane and by Kevin Hayden’s plight.)

I don’t have that much of a problem with dead blog sites - my problem is enough hours in the day to read through all the lives ones to which I link!

Of course you have trouble reading them all, Elayne, since you list over two hundred blogs on your site (not including moi, hint hint). You are not alone. I gave up even trying to count those listed at the old ReachM site. This is just another example of why liberals love Hamlet and other tributes to indecisiveness — you are so open minded you insist on hearing all sides before making up your minds. What a waste of valuable time!
All you really need to know The Truth is to get on Karl Rove’s daily spin list. On second thought, perhaps you weren’t supposed to know about that. Well, you can find the latest revelations from above by checking out just the blogs of the Four Hearsemen: those are Instypoohbah and his three sons, Sullie (though he is in disfavor now, since he’s throwing tantrums over his right to get married despite not even being engaged), Denny over at Poohlesser (now prefaced with U.S.S.), and Chucky at the home of tolerance on the web, Little Brown Poohballs. I wrote about them all last November in “The Blogfather”. They’ll steer you straight (no offense meant, Sullie).

I see you list candidates to support for a more Democratic House. FANTASTIC. I would like you to consider adding Melissa Bean in the Illinois 8th Congressional District. A race both Congressional Quarterly and The New York Times now put in the Top 10. Check her out at www.melissabean.com
Even if your site is dead, it still pops up in Google searches and can generate support for candidates.
