Have I got the deal for you!
There’s an old rule about not biting the hand that feeds you, but what do you do when that hand stops feeding you?
Do you notify advertisers you’ll be taking down their ads because the intermediary service is failing to abide by its own agreement to pay according to schedule?
In my case, I have to find an immediate solution. I can’t afford to get into a pissing match with anyone because MAYBE, SOMEDAY, they’ll pay.
So here’s the deal: do you run a small blog and would like more attention at a heavily discounted price? As we are close to a redesign, I’ll offer a special deal. Instead of our standard priced ads, I’ll clear every link in the sidebar for the next two weeks and turn it solely into ads, if needed, to make room for your ads.
I will write about your blog at least once each week that you pay for your ad to appear. As our traffic averages between 15,000 and 20,000 each week, you’ll be guaranteed to see some new visitors (though I can’t estimate how many). If your content’s appealling, you’ll be likely to retain a base of new readers, which is the part that’s up to you.
Instead of the standard price of $20/wk, the charge will be $10/wk because I need to meet expenses that are due.
The deal for anyone, including standard businesses: As ours is a successfull and growing blog, with traffic that’s grown more than 80%in less than 5 months, I’d be happy to establish longer term relationships with advertisers that can maintain favorable price levels that will increase the advantage to you as our traffic builds. Locking in prices for an audience that will continue to expand is a best business practice for those who understand the growing value of blog advertising.
Within the past two weeks, we’ve been linked to by MSNBC, The Washington Post, Salon and several of the leading bloggers on the internet. Such mentions are not unusal. Our team currently includes six published book authors, and we consistently have professionals including lawyers, economists, academics and others as regular contributors. We also have a team of satirical humorists aboard that are not only well-recognized as some of the best online, but collectively I’d say they exceed the quality of any online humor publication, with the sole exception of The Onion.
I intend and anticipate our blog will continue to be a growing venture, with fresh innovations planned in the weeks, months and years ahead. I believe smart advertising collaborators will recognize the opportunity I’m presenting here.

I can testify that top-posted mentions here and links to my blog from them DRAMATICALLY increased my traffic, and a lot of the traffic has continued to return.
Also, Streeter, why not contact the advertizers directly, and offer them a discount, if they pony up in advance? Screw Blogads.

This blog and some of its’ main contributers are in serious trouble. Money is required of each and every one of you. As of today, a monthly subscription of TWO LOUSY DOLLARS is required of all of us.
