We’re Handing Our Country Over with Both Hands and a Sleepy, Stupid Smile

Take some weekend blogging time to catch up on Alt Hippo’s series on the GOP’s obsession with exploring for energy drilling the life out of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Today he suggests slinging some mud back when we’re called names like Birkenstock-wearing, latte-drinking blah, blah, fucking blah. Yesterday he got the goods on eco-blackmailer and all-around slug Frank Murkowski.

Destroying the coast of the ANWR is one of the things BushCo wants to sneak in while we’re distracted by the proposed destruction of Social Security. When you call your senators to insist that they vote against the Barriers to Bankruptcy Bill, you can also mention your opposition to the destruction of our Arctic Wildlife Refuge. When are we going to get sick and tired of handing everything that’s good about this country over to the corpofascists that run it?
