SAVE PARIS!

The Republicans are planning to make the repeal of the estate tax permenent. All so hard-working, deserving contributors to the US economy…like Paris Hilton…will be able to inherit their parent’s huge estates.

“Much obliged Congressman DeLay and Senator Frist!”

Of course, thanks to some budget gimmickry, and a little known provision of the estate tax repeal in 2001, repealing the estate tax actually hurts farmers and small business owners MORE than if you left it in place.

These are the very people the Republicans claimed they were trying to help when they passed the law in the first place!

UPDATE: The Center for American Progress details more big problems created by the repeal of the Paris Hilton tax.

They’ve set up web page so you can tell Congress to restore it.
