Bush gets the worst ratings ever!

From a CBS poll from Oct 3-5:

37% approve, 58% disapprove, 5% unsure. 12% more disapprove than just two months ago, and 53% more disapprove since 3 years ago.

By 64% to 32%, Americans also give him his highest disapproval ratings on his handling of the war on Iraq.

Does he have the same priorities for the country as you have?

Same 32%, Not the same 65%, Unsure 3

The Republican Congress fares worse though.

As does Tom Delay, though the verdict of the majority awaits more of his story.

The public leans toward approving Harriet Miers, though the majority awaits more about her, too.

The country’s biggest problems has changed a bit since the previous poll, and it’s especially interesting that now 5% think Dubya’s the biggest problem, while a mere 4% say Terrorism!

Now do you understand why Bush is suddenly giving Big Speech about Terrorists again? Do you really believe a bunch of pharmacists are threatening New York… with pushchairs? What’s next, an attack led by dental assistants and CNAs? (No wonder we couldn’t find chemical weapons in Iraq. They were hidden in Walgreen’s in Baghdad.)

Now consider this news:

President George Bush has claimed he was told by God to invade Iraq and attack Osama bin Laden’s stronghold of Afghanistan as part of a divine mission to bring peace to the Middle East, security for Israel, and a state for the Palestinians.

The President made the assertion during his first meeting with Palestinian leaders in June 2003, according to a BBC series which will be broadcast this month.

For the faithful, this is what God looks like. And you never want to borrow his comb.
