Responsibility is Hard Work
From the Financial Times via Raw Story:
However, Frank Luntz, Republican pollster and strategist. said: €œIf [Fitzgerald] indicts, they [the White House] will have no choice but to attempt to demonise him. I think that is going to be really, really tough.€
Really? No choice? How about taking this opportunity finally to usher that promised era of responsibilty into the White House?
And as for waiting for the indictments to come down for the demonizing to start, that’s some mighty wishful thinking and helpful reporting. From the Daily News via Digby:
"He’s a vile, detestable, moralistic person with no heart and no conscience who believes he’s been tapped by God to do very important things," one White House ally said, referring to special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald.

That last quote/slam from NY Daily News on Fitz always made me feel like the guy was really talking about Bush and the reporter got mixed up. Anyway, Bush and Fitz seem perfect for each other. That description fits W. to a tee. They have so much in common. I think it is high time we get these two together for a date.

Gee, everybody is piling on Bush..not a kind word for the poor man. In his defense we should at least acknowledge his superb sense of humor. I’m still laughing at his comedy routine where he mocks Carla Faye Tucker begging for her life. What could be funnier than a governor denying mercy through pouted lips mimicking the condemned saying ,”Oh, please don’t kill me”. Truly a knee slapper, huh?

You’re right, Swami. And don’t forget the way-funny on-stage search for WMDs routine. And the latest: joking about presents for his wife while the 2,000th soldier dies in Iraq. The guy is just funny.
