Current members are listed above. But many contributed before, some now blogging giants and some who blog no more.

Asterisks* throughout the sidebars denote the full roster of our talented team, past and present.

In the category below are those whose blogs are defunct, or blog extremely rarely, or who never had their own blog at all.

But it is a partial list, as all other past members are categorized by region, topic or both, elsewhere in these sidebars.

Democratic Tsunami builds

Chris Bowers just released polling from October 8-10 on numerous House races, ALL SEATS CURRENTLY HELD BY REPUBLICANS.

I rearranged them alphabetically, by state, bolded the Dems with 50%+ support, and added some notes:

AZ-01: Simon (D) 50%–46% Renzi (R)
CO-07: Perlmutter (D) 47%–47% O’Donell (R) TIE
FL-13: Jennings (D) 47%–44% Buchannan (R) VERY CLOSE
IA-02: Loebsack (D) 48%–47% Leach (R) VERY CLOSE
IL-06: Duckworth (D) 47%–47% Roskam (R) TIE
IN-02: Donnelly (D) 50%–46% Chocola (R)
KY-03: Yarmuth (D) 48%–48% Northup (R) VERY CLOSE YAY!
MN-01: Gutknecht (R) 48%–47% Walz (D) ALMOST THERE!
MN-06: Wetterling (D) 50%–45% Bachmann (R)
NC-11: Shuler (D) 51%–43% Taylor (R)
NC-08: Kissel (D) 51%–44% Hayes (R)
NM-01: Madrid (D) 52%–44% Wilson (R)
NY-24: Arcuri (D) 53%–42% Mieir (R)
NY-26: Davis (D) 56%–40% Reynolds (R)
OH-02: Wulsin (D) 48%–45% Schmidt (R) VERY CLOSE
OH-15: Kilroy (D) 53%–41% Pryce (R)
OH-18: Space (D) 51%–42% Padgett (R)
PA-06: Murphy (D) 52%–46% Gerlach (R)
PA-07: Sestak (D) 52%–44% Weldon (R)
WI-08: Kagen (D) 48%–46% Gard (R) VERY CLOSE

Then there’s the close ones, Republicans with tiny leads, but under 50%.

KY-04: Davis (R) 49%–46% Lucas (D) VERY CLOSE
NJ-07: Ferguson (R) 48%–46% Stender (D) VERY CLOSE
NY-03: King (R) 48%–46% Mejas (D) VERY CLOSE
VA-02: Drake (R) 48%–46% Kellam (D) VERY CLOSE
WA-08: Reichert (R) 48%–45% Burner (D) VERY CLOSE

Wider Republican leads, including two above 50%

VA-10: Wolf (R) 47%–42% Feder (D)
ID-01: Sali (R) 49%–43% Grant (D)
CT-05: Johnson (R) 52%–46% Murphy (D)
CA-04: Doolittle (R) 52%–44% Brown (D)

Go read the extra he adds about other races, as well.

Add to that a tie in the Senate with two too close to call.

Then consider what Warner’s exit from the 2008 campaign does for John Edwards.

Even the stock market is roaring in anticipation. If the mood prevails, it should pull some more undecideds into the D column.

I just hope Ned Lamont joins the team to prevent any chance that Lieberman will switch.

And, now that the South’s gone negative on the war, and the pundits and politicians are coming around, I hope our fellow citizens in the line of fire can soon come home.
