No More Gore

From Reuters, via Taegan Goddard: Gore is definitely not going to run in 2008.

I think it’s smart of him to focus his efforts on global warming, but I also hope he’ll continue building the television channel he’s involved with, because countering rightwing media consolidation is also an important longterm goal.

Yes, I know he could beat any GOP candidate in 2008. But being president is not always the pinnacle of public service. And his leadership in global warming work is certainly an example of the pursuit of a greater good.
