On an American Street in DC
Today’s Surge For Peace March in Washington DC is ongoing. I’ve checked all the major networks online and they’re all reporting ‘tens of thousands for the crowd size, but all are relying on the same AP report as their source.
Indymedia DC gives a guesstimate of 100,000. But frankly, at this point, I’m unimpressed by the online coverage, even from numerous bloggers based in DC.
My brother, Mark, who posts here as Capeman intermittently, drove down from Massachusetts to take part. He’ll likely provide a report over the weekend, as he lacks any liveblogging capabilities.
If you’re in DC, more power to you. Thanks for representin’ !

YES, IT’S VIETNAM ALL OVER AGAIN. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT… IT’S A FACT! OUR MEN FIGHT AND DIE ;AND THE “STREET” … FOLLOWING CONGRESSIONAL POWER OPPORTUNISTS .. UNDERMINE THE “UNITED” STATES BY DERIDING THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF, COMMANDING GENERALS AND TIE THE HANDS OF OUR SOLDIERS WITH “NICEY-NICEY” COMBAT RULES. THEN STAND BACK AND SAY, “SEE, WE CAN’T WIN!”. TRAITOROUS BEHAVIOR … AND PEACE AIN’T PATRIOTIC WHEN YOU CUT AND RUN … IT’S SURRENDER ONCE MORE.

So, that’s about 30,000- 40,000 to the “reality-based’ community… and 10-12k in the real world?
Still, 100,000 is a quite an impressive number - until you realize that there are over 3,000,000 people in the US who think they’ve been “anal probed” or abducted by aliens…
