The Troop Sell-Out Isn’t Leadership: Notes from the Cowardocracy

The Republicans aren’t thinking Iraq, democracy or the proper use and support of our Army and Marines.

They’re thinking: “must….get…re-elected.”

But they’re giving Petraeus and Bush a 5 month pass before they bail. Even though they don’t believe Petraeus can pull it off.

If that’s truly what they believe, why don’t they save the country hundreds of billions and several hundred troop lives? Because they’re afraid to lead, afraid to do the right thing. And when August comes, they’ll be afraid that they might have to go back to honest work without paid healthcare and the other perks they get now.

Yeah, that’s the democracy we need to export: Chicken Democracy from the land of the free and the home of the Chicken Republicans.
