Fox in the chicken house?

It’s to be expected that every freeper between the age of 13 and 14 will call Dem candidates chicken for refusing to be trained monkeys for the advantage of Fox’s Bush Propaganda machine.

But when a talk show host working under the aegis of ‘progressive’ radio uses freeper talking points to label the Dems fearful to face Fox, that deserves a progressive response.

In recent days, Bill Press has knocked Dems that call for Bush’s impeachment and he’s repeatedly criticized the principled decision to boycott Fox, even though 95% of his callers have disagreed.

Today, while others rightly call fpr Don Imus’ dismissal, I think it’s time to ask Bill Press to consider retirement. He’s a pablum pushing centrist, which in itself is his right. But if that’s what he wants to be and he wants to harm progressive Dems in the process, he simply should not be granted airtime on networks advancing progressivism.

Let the DLC build their own pablum broadcast network. Bill Press can then aspire to be its insomnia hour cure. With advocates like these, progressives will never get the center back to the center.

Edwards and Obama are challenging Fox to stop selling supermarket tabloid crap as actual news. That Press can’t see that vital point indicates he has nothing to offer progressives except a dispiriting shade of bland.

This refusal to debate on neutral territory displays the essential cowardice of the second-raters leading the Dem pack. Actually this cowardice is a victory for MoveOn.org which is seeking to radicalize and marginalize the Democrats into a permanent minority. A recent Zogby Poll had voters considering themselves Conservative over Liberal by a margin of 41% to 21%, with 30-odd% self-described independents.

The Dems shouldn’t delude themselves into thinking that because they control most of the MSM and blogs that they are going to beat a Giuliani or a Fred Thompson in the voting booth.

Dave, for a guy in a party dying because of its loyalty to the most corrupt and inept administration in US history, you have a fair amount of chutzpah calling our leaders ’second-raters’.

You’ve got McCain the deluded, Flip-flopper Mitt and his Big Dig, and His Rudeness who can’t even carry the 9-11 firefighters’ votes. McCain is the only one with the potential to carry his own home state.

“Kill Arabs, steal elections via faux prosecutions, and create record deficits to pay off my cronies” is not a very catchy campaign slogan, but anymore, it seems to be all the Republicans stand for.

As for our ‘permanent minority’, do you refer to the House, Senate, governorships, statehouses or national voter registration stats? On any of them, we happen to be the majority.

That’s not the fault of MoveOn, Soros, or the Dixie Chicks. That’s the result of the Brown-Nose-Bush Republicans.

And Rush and Fox can sputter all they want, but they can’t save your party from its worst presidential defeat in more than three decades.

    Pelosi Diplomacy: Legitimizing Terrorism…

When Democrat Presidential candidates Clinton, Obama and Edwards dropped out of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute debate that was going to be co-sponsored by Fox News, many liberals crowed over the decision. It is their contention that Fox News …
