Happy Loyalty Day!
This has been one of the more notable holidays during the time that the Funny Farm (in its’ various incarnations) has been a going concern. One of the main reasons is that I can’t seem to get the frelling irony alert siren to stop shrieking all day long. And one of the main reasons for that is the annual Putschian loyalty day proclamation*.
Another reason is the importance attached to this day by the current administration. Amazingly enough, the current pResident has had time enough between vacations to sign this into law. Here’s this year’s pontification for you to grok upon - if you dare!
I have a simple message to the congress critters and anyone who agrees with me that something needs to be done:

By the way, there’s a couple of other takes on the subject that I put together a while back, and an interesting historical footnote about today. It looks like the junta of Chimperor C Minus has usurped this holiday from the days of historical anti-communist hysteria, and adapted it to suit their own nefarious purposes.
* - even more ironically, this year’s address was given the day before…
