The First Amendment costs Taxpayers $80,000
Correct that. The Bush administration’s violation of the First Amendment cost taxpayers 80 grand.
Because Bush’s staff limited free speech, an $80,000 award was made to two citizens wore t-shirts critical of Bush. Again, us taxpayers foot the bill for a law violation by the Bush administration.
I would have held out for a refresher course on the US Constitution for every White House staffer. I’m an ornery cuss when it comes to violations of the Bill of Rights. In my opinion, ANY violation of those essential freedoms constitutes ‘high crimes’.
