To endorse or not endorse a Democrat for President: my choice
I won’t vote for this guy for sure.
Don’t see much different in this candidate, either, who sounds the same two years later.
If either is nominated, I won’t vote for either in November 2008.
This guy has the current edge, for me. In practical application, this guy’s program would occur near that guy’s timelines, so he’s almost as perfect on the issue, and has a better agenda domestically than anyone.
This guy said this about Iraq and this more recently and bravely said this about Cuba yesterday. He stays on my short list for this, especially.
This guy stays in, as well.
This guy knows how to move legislation in the Senate, has the best actual record of all the candidates, and remains tied at the top of my list with the other guy with a long and successful track record.
And this guy proposes a lot I’d support, but his track record of achievement in Congress is not real strong.
So 6 out of 8 I could vote for. 4 of those 6 are pretty close at the top of my list. But I’m not staying Dem for the primaries as a protest to the boneless leadership of Reid and Pelosi or the anti-life sycophancy of the pro-Bush Dems who mock us all by calling themselves moderates. Because of them, I’m ashamed to be a Democrat and will choose to be an independent instead.
If Delaware or New York’s Senator wins the nomination, I’ll vote for a third party candidate. Period.
I’m far more impressed with the way Richardson, Edwards and Dodd have campaigned to date than Gravel, Obama and Kucinich, but any of the 6 could earn my vote depending on what they say and do from now to January. Hillary and Biden cannot. Period.
