The Most Overused Phrase in Politics strikes again
“Four more years” is the standard of a first term president. Under this president, that was changed to “stay the course.” But the lamer his duck is, the more we’re treated to the most underused things of all (facts and evidence) and the lamest refrain replaces it with “six more months.”
This is the tenth time we’ve been told “Trust us, this will only take us 6 months to succeed.” When you can’t bring reason and logic to the game, nor an actual score, nine overtimes is the only thing available. Then ten. Then eleven.
