The Royals Love a Good Torture
From the Royal Peerage:
(Prince) Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and (Princess Di) Feinstein (D-Calif.) announced this afternoon that they will vote in favor of confirming Michael B. Mukasey as attorney general, effectively ending a growing revolt by fellow Democrats that had threatened Mukasey’s confirmation.
In a press release, the royal pair from the House of AIPAC indicated they likud the good jurist plenty, finding his support for arab-bunting ‘entirely cricket because it gives the dogs gums proper exercise. Hi-ho.’
Afterword, they attended an afternoon soiree at the Heritage Foundation’s annual Neo-wanker charity fundraiser where they had a spot of tea while lashing a Palestinian server with their riding crops.
(Note also what WaPo sneaks by as the last paragraph: “The CIA used the technique on three prisoners after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, but has since ceased the practice, officials have said.” Got that? No extraordinary rendition. No details on Gitmo and Abu Ghraib. Just the report that they only did it three times, which the reporter dutifully copied, and gave the stiff arm salute.)
