The Ron Paul show

All this demonstrates to me is that Republicans frustrated by the war have no place to go, and between them and Libertarians, there’s a lot of money available that no-one else can tap.

Does it make him viable, even if the media were to fawn over him? No.

But it does keep him from being excluded at the debates, so he can help remind voters how ‘quaint’ the other yapping coyotes are.

    Why I think he’s Viable:

“If any of the following is a sign, He’ll Win:

    - STRAW POLL results
    - FundRaising
    - Event Turnout
    - Online and Text Message Polling
    - Volunteer Base
(note: even if you don’t trust online polls, he’s dominated

    the OFFLINE straw polls)

    Why?

Cause the straw polls internalize “New Voters” which make up

ROn Pauls base, the disenfranchised and young who didn’t

    vote last time.

The Rasmussen/Gallup Polls only poll “likely voters” by

landline which brings up two issues:

    - who are likely voters (the six percent of registered of

republican voters who voted in the 2004 primaries)

    - are landlines still an effective way to get people, and

how many of these people are willing to participate in phone

polls and how representative are they.

It’s safe to say that the “likely voter” pool is made up of

neo-cons since there was only one person on the ballot at

the 2004 primaries giving little reason for anyone else to

    come vote.

Ron Paul does not serve the Neo-Con Agenda, so that he has any

piece of the Rasmussen/Gallup polls is amazing.”

I do know one thing about Ron Paul supporters–they are fanatical. I have a little, unknown blog that I just started, and when I posted a piece about the spam scandal, it only took his online supporters a few hours to find my site.

  3. imp Says:

Fanatical, Blue, is when someone attacks a nonaggressor country, suspends civil rights, and revels in the virtues of torture.

Posting to a blog is not ‘fanatical.’ It’s called free speech. Learn to love it.

    RE: Viability

John Kerry was polling around 4% about this time in 2004. The latest CNN poll has Ron Paul at 5%. Is he likely to get the nomination? Absolutely not. but he does have a shot. Particularly with the voter satisfaction of the republican party still only in the ~55% range.
