When Soft Money Flows, it’s wise to see where it points
It never seems to aim for progressives, and rare does it aid mildly left of center candidates. Most of the time, they advocate right wing or big money corporatist candidates. And the latest seem to be no different.
Follow the money, in this case, points to another way it corrupts the political equation. Some day, I hope to see a populist trounce the fatcat candidates relying on exploiters of the campaign finance loopholes. I remain idealistically naive enough to believe it can be done.
