To Matt Drudge: WTF? Still planting lies?

Look, opposition research reveals all sorts of gems, but Drudge’s claims seem ludicrous on the surface with this claim about Huckabee’s Achilles heel.

Let’s consider some verifiable facts:

1) The Republican field of potential Presidential nominees is a mess of incompetents, boobs, racists and utter jokes. The notion that Democrats fear one or the other is laughable.

2) Your breaking ‘news’ sounds like something Karl Rove would plant, if Rove was backing Romney or Rudy and I have every reason to believe it’s the former.

3) The GOP’s longtime leading candidate was a MAYOR for Chrissake, and there’s just no historical precedent for having to dip so low in the political barrel. With all he baggage he carries, he’d be the easiest of the leading candidates to beat. He doesn’t represent GOP social values. And he can’t even carry his home state in a presidential contest.

4) Mitt’s baggage is less obvious and less certain, but he also doesn’t stand a chance of carrying his home state. He might be able to drag New Hampshire’s few swing votes back to the GOP fold, but he certainly can’t guarantee he can even hold the GOP’s Southern bloc together.

5) ONLY Huckabee, Thompson and McCain offer any sort of impediment to Democratic inroads on Southern swing states beyond Florida. The most vulnerable Southern swing state is Arkansas. And Huckabee kinda has support there.

I don’t believe the voting public gives a crap about this sort of nonsense. Real journalists portray what the issues are, who the candidates are, and offer critiques of both.

This ’secret information’ crap sounds like you’re directly sucking Karl Rove’s wee one, trying to take down a GOP contender on rumor, just like Rove did for Bush against McCain in 2000.

Get over yourself, Drudge. You’re a useful tool of Bush’s worn out, ethically stagnant Brain. We know what Turdblossoms grow in. Don’t you have any higher aspirations in life than that?

[…] If Huckabee places in the top two in the first two primaries, he’ll be known quickly. And ten months await for Americans to learn more. With the rest of what I said in my earlier post, I think Huckabee and McCain present bigger problems for the Dems. I included Thompson in the assessment because Tennessee is technically a swing state, though I personally feel Thompson carries more baggage than John and Mike, so he’s not as formidable as they would be.
