Another poll confirms the Obamarama will continue

Today, via the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll: 39%-29%-19%, Obama/Clinton/Edwards

Yesterday via American Research Group poll: 39%-28%-22%
And via yesterday’s CNN/WMUR poll: 39%/29%/16%

Obama’s set for win number 2. It’s different on the GOP side.

Zogby: 34%/29%/10% for McCain/Romney/Huckabee
ARG: 35%/27%/12%
CNN: 32%/26%/14%

McCain surpassed Romney but there’s room for reversal, so I suspect that one will be even closer tomorrow night.

But at this point, Clinton’s best hope is to try and narrow her losses from here through Nevada. And Edwards has to look for any opening he can find. Can he climb to #2? His best shot will be in South Carolina. And at the very least, his staying in the race is likely to limit the gains Clinton can make, unless Obama makes a serious mistake.

One Response to “Another poll confirms the Obamarama will continue”

  1. Thomas Nephew Says:

I think that if Edwards were to drop out, the majority of his support would go to Obama unless he manages to really re-orient Clinton — out of Iraq yesterday, shake up the Democratic Party but good, etc.

Re the latter, I’m wondering when it will occur to one of Obama’s opponents to throw Obama’s endorsement of Joe Lieberman vs. Ned Lamont in his face. That strikes me as one of the few simultaneously substantive, damaging, and readily understandable Achilles heels to Obama’s appeal. I don’t see how Clinton uses it, though, given that Bill campaigned for Lieberman too, IIRC.
