Bill Richardson, who, with Chris Dodd, had about the deepest resume and good proposals to boot, is dropping out of the race tomorrow.
I truly hope both run again. Richardson, in particular, would be wise to do so because his foreign policy mastery is where a president’s job description is longest and I doubt anyone in the Democratic party comes close in terms of talent.

Dang - This might be hard a election for the Dems to win? Obama has way too little experience (and is rated as extremely liberal) and Hillary has too many people on the conservative right that hate her guts. Richardson and Dodd would both have a better centrist appeal.

too much american idol. it no longer matters how much experience you have. it’s all about the sound byte, the gotcha politics, and how much the press likes you.
