Obama upsets Clinton big as winner in Maine
It’s actually an 18% margin with 87% of the caucus votes counted, per CNN. It has to be a disheartening loss for Clinton, possibly the straw that got Hillary’s campaign manager replaced.
As I noted below, this was the strongest Clinton territory available till March fourth. Tongue firmly in cheek, Matt Yglesias defines all the reasons that the loss will be minimalized, but the reality is, Clinton now has to go after WI, OH, TX, RI and VT with all her strength.
After next Tuesday’s primaries, that should be exceptionally clear.
