Russ Feingold chooses Obama
He was sharply critical of John Edwards, and had some criticisms of Obama as well. Yet he ultimately went with Obama as he voted and plans to do the same as a superdelegate.
As one of a very few politicians highly respected by liberals, Feingold’s endorsement will carry some weight. There’s only a couple of fence-sitting politicians left who might carry some fair amount of influence. I exclude Al Gore, expecting he’ll stay out of the fray. But John Edwards could help in North Carolina and Ohio and Bill Richardson could help in Texas.
