Hillary saves the world, v. 2
Hilzoy at Obsidian Wings describes Clinton’s remarkable effectiveness in stopping a genocide.
Getting two presidents for one proved a remarkable deal. She helped cause the truce between the Irish and British, she stopped the Rwandan genocide, she opposed NAFTA and she developed a successful national healthcare plan at the first time national support for it reached 65%.
If I recall correcyly, she also stopped a killer meteor, captured an angry tyrannasaurus rex and seaked the crack in Hoover Dam with her weld-a-vision and would have done more if it wasn’t for the kryptonite she was exposed to.

Darn it Kevin– I was going to post on this. The thing with Rwanda, of course, is just how much the West (and that includes Belgium, France and especially the Clinton Administration) did to facilitate making the horrors more horrible. And once again, Hill’s “35 years of experience” cherry-picks only the good stuff and leaves out… everything else.
But this is even more perverse in my view: I think she’s playing the race card, as she has again, again, and again in this campaign– in a way that not even John McCain would, should it come down to McCain vs. Obama. The fact is, the victims in Rwanda all tended to be one color… a color that here in the US of A is all too often seen as just not worth our trouble to invest too much effort to protect (see also Somalia, Darfur, etc.).
But of course, to blithely and gratuitously suggest that dear old Hillary (despite… the complete lack of even a shred of evidence) “advocated” for Bill and the Gang to “do something” in Rwanda… shows how she is willing to trivialize and condescend even on something as genocide for cheap political points– and of course, its FREE, because we’re only talking about Black people, right? It seems that nothing is sacred with the Clintons, short of their own power and ambition.
