Five time Nobel Peace Prize nominee endorses Obama
Governor Bill Richardson has made his support official. It’s not so notable because of his influence among Latino voters, as there are few Latinos in the remaining primaries. Only North Carolina and Puerto Rico have numbers large enough for that to matter.
Instead, it’s notable because of his deep ties to the Clintons. Bill appointed him to two noteworthy positions, so it sends another message like Representative John Lewis sent: Obama’s promise is being perceived as greater than personal and political loyalties:
‘’I believe he is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime leader that can bring our nation together and restore America’s moral leadership in the world,'’ Richardson said in a statement obtained by the AP. ‘’As a presidential candidate, I know full well Sen. Obama’s unique moral ability to inspire the American people to confront our urgent challenges at home and abroad in a spirit of bipartisanship and reconciliation.'’
‘Once in a lifetime’ seems to be a bit heavy on the hyperbole, but with Richardson’s cred in foreign policy, it certainly suggests the inexperience factor doesn’t worry Governor Richardson at all.

His cred on foreign policy. Wasn’t this the boy who dealt with N. Korea and helped them get the bomb? Wasn’t this the boy who watched over our secrets while the Chinese took out the front door? Chunk is just looking for a VP slot. Nothing more, nothing less.
