Joe Lieberman attacks Obama, Fails National Security IQ test in the process
Like the Republican he endorsed, turncoat Dem Joe Lieberman apparently doesn’t have a clue who’s who in the Middle East. Read this short report from Jane Hamsher. And note Lieberman’s own words:
If we did what Sen. Obama wanted us to do last year, Al-Qaeda in Iran would be in control of Iraq today. The whole Middle East would be in turmoil and American security and credibility would be jeopardized.
Iran is a Shia nation. Al Qaida is a Sunni terror organization. The two don’t fraternize or control each other. No evidence exists that there is an Al Qaida in Iran unless Iran’s government has locked them up.
It’d be pretty hard for a non-entity to control anything in Iraq. But did anyone challenge Lieberman’s obvious ignorance? Nope, just as they don’t challenge McCain when he displays similar ignorance because, after all, this was Faux News, the most GOP asskissing news network since Christ was born, at least.
