Clinton’s Compelling Case for Oregon… NOT
In Eugene yesterday, Clinton drew 2,500 to a packed high school auditorium. During spring break, with many students out of town, Obama drew 9,000 to the college basketball arena and 9 city blocks surrounding it.
Eugene is also arguably the biggest womyn-friendly city in the state, a very white city in a very white state with a not too flattering anti-Black history.
Outside of the I-5 corridor, from liberal Portland to moderate Salem to liberal Corvallis, Eugene and Ashland, most of the rest of the state is pretty conservative. So Clinton does have a legit chance here. But a half dozen cities often trump the votes of the rest of the state and if turnout is a gauge, Eugene is heavily favoring Obama. A direct comparison can’t be made in Portland (where Obama appeared) because Clinton appeared in nearby Hillsboro instead, likely because it’s heavily Latino. Yet Obama also outdrew Clinton heavily within that 20 mile radius for the twin appearances.
As to her comments about her decision on the AUMF that permitted the war on Iraq, let’s not overlook the fact that the majority of Congressional Democrats made the opposite decision, so even in 2002, she represented the minority view of elected Democrats in Washington, DC.
By all appearances, unless Clinton has some bombshell April/May surprise to utilize, the only way she’ll be the nominee is if the outstanding superdelegates nationwide overturn the popular majority Obama’s going to have within the next 30 days, even before Oregon votes.

I live in Beaverton - and haven’t heard much support for the first lady - I think she is damaged goods after her endorsement of JMcCain for CiC, the Bosnia sniper fire and NAFTAgate - not to mention her being against Iraq before Obama was. I think she is about to have a nervous breakdown, because she doesn’t know what’s real and not anymore - Judgment vs Sniper Fire Experience?
You tell me?

Sniper fire is expected anywhere, or anytime in a combat military area. You need to be a veteran during a war time to understand that. Hillary was mostly right than wrong in the controversy about that sniper fire. A lot of people in the background could have been warned there is always a chance of unexpected happenings.
Here, anyone should be a stupid fool to think McCain does not have long time connections because his father was Supreme European Commander during his capture and torture. Better believe there was deal to stop the Vietnam War at that time. And Bosnia was a victory with out the horrible blunder America faces in Iraq a debate the Media avoids because it would help Hillary.
Anyway most people who do support Hillary have to work and don’t enjoy those idle comments to be able to watch Obama rant we can’t wait. Actually I don’t care what Obama can’t wait for.
As for a person of deep understanding, Obama is not. Playing on the ideal that he Obama will win the general election with the fly over red states is a laugh. Plus being elected in all those red states that have never voted for a Democrat is again absolutely laughable. All those numbers delegates or election totals are cross over Republicans that simple had the opportunity to vote twice and write good money to Obama’s campaign too. Now with his friend Reverend Wright who is wrong has taken magic out of Obama to be sure.
Really doing what they do best with the help of Mainstream Media is confuse the electorate with technical babble from Chris Mathews Hardball then bouncing into Keith Olberman’s countdown to dissect and smear, and point out all of the decay and misery with infighting and the horrible Democratic plays that are made in an on going fashion that’s horrible for America. All very contrasting with windowed paid Journalistic smear Meisters programmed to make Hillary appear dysfunctional. From my view anyone who can take leadership in the health care area as Hillary has, totally knows what is happening. And is the best candidate.
