For the first time, Digby’s worried

Democratic funders are not stepping up to the ripe opportunity at hand. She’s right to be worried, but not about the presidential race. This time, the candidate will win, but the party faithful will demonstrate once and for all that the Democratic party as an entity is ready for extinction.

The old money status quo DLC Dems can take their Republican principles and join the party they really stand for.

Politics as usual is not leadership representing the best interests of the badly bruised American people. And if this is the peevish way the big donors plan to play, fuck ‘em. There’s plenty of Americans available to step into that void. Let the Dino Dems sulk their way into the La Brea tarpits.
