But it is a partial list, as all other past members are categorized by region, topic or both, elsewhere in these sidebars.

By the numbers

I was asked to look around for other tidbits I could find to amuse you. The Kev is off someplace, trying to keep his ISP placated. So this can provoke your conjecture.

The First Lady looks to win the Keystoned State by eight points. The First Black will be very pleased with that. Since the pollsters and people in certain states continue to divide our country like that, let’s not pretend it’s the party that’s divided. It’s the people and their clinging to bigotry that needs an attitude change.

Couch it in terms of electability, elitism or whatever you want. But don’t deny the truth that there’s just some states where the demographic divisions make it clear what’s going on. It’s not what the candidates stand for or are doing. Our country’s been all about these divides since its inception and in some areas it remains all about resisting change.

If a white male Democrat was in the race, the majority of Pennsylvanians would prefer that more.

PS: Thomas Franks cuts through the bias blather with a sharper knife. In some places, Americans still choose economic suicide over their distrust of a temperamental woman or uppity black man, neither of whom know their place.
