Obama storms through Guam, defeating the Imperial Empire

It was a squeaker, as Obama defeated Clinton by the narrowest of margins. As Al Giordano notes, that’s his 31st victory in 47 contests to date, and there’s just eight more to go.

In 3 days, 187 of the remaining pledged delegates will be chosen, leaving 217 in all the rest. Obama will have a pledged delegate lead above 160 at that point, and by June 3rd, his combination of supers and pledged delegates will likely be around 1900 and Clinton’s will be around 1725, at best. Obama should surpass 1725 within 6 days from now (most of that by Tuesday).

She’ll be unable to catch his pledged delegate total after Tuesday, even if she took 100% of the last six contests.
