First off, I’d like to extend a hearty “Praise Him!” to all you Air America blog readers who are enjoying American Street’s content through the Miracle of an RSS feed. In my country, we have a word for freely distributing of the fruits of hard work: Communism!

Having gotten those pleasantries out of the way, let’s go about our onerous task of defending Freedom. As I’m sure is the case with most of my fellow patriots, the very thought of some vaguely Arabic looking guys with photographic equipment is enough to make my tinkle in my pantaloons quicker than you can say Annie Jacobsen. To see some Middle Easterner putting his shifty eyes up to a camera and pointing his telescopic lense at a tourist attraction can mean only one thing — violent, bloody jihad. I spent much of last summer on pins and needles over the suspicious behavior of a couple of Arabs in Seattle, convinced they were going to be riding up to meet Allah in paradise to claim their 70 virgins in a blazing ferry, and now I learn from my Prayer Warrior Michelle Malkin that those sleepless nights were not in vain:

Remember the FBI alert last summer over these two men? They caused quite a stir in the Pacific Northwest after ferry officials observed the men engaged in unusual behavior aboard Washington ferries. Ignoring the very real threat of ferry-based terrorism, the Seattle P-I refused to run the FBI photos in a politically correct pique and instead made light of the matter by holding an idiotic haiku contest about the alert:

Well, after nearly a year, two men came forward and the FBI has cleared them:

True, while the men aren’t terrorists, aren’t affiliated with any terrorist organiztions, weren’t planning on doing anything sinister, and didn’t actually do anything wrong, Michelle reminds us of one important point:It’s the principle of the matter:

For once, the jihadi apologists at CAIR are refraining from criticizing the FBI. As usual, they’re attacking the rest of us for doing the job that the likes of the Seattle P-I refused to do–taking homeland security seriously:

Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington, D.C.-based civil rights and advocacy group, had no criticism of the FBI’s handling of the incident.

“The authorities handled this situation quite well,” he said Monday. “I have no indication that the authorities went beyond what they are allowed to do. Reports were brought to them and they checked them out the best they could.”

But Hooper wasn’t happy with some other responses: “Anti-Muslim Internet hate sites; the bloggers; the ones that routinely say ’round up the usual Muslim suspects’; the extremist commentators that would be willing give up the rights of others to create a false sense of security for themselves.

Michelle can only do so much to promote the internment of Muslims in concentration camps, but if MSM isn’t willing to get on board with that, then it’s blood on their hands. Once again liberal media has shown their true jihadist colors by letting “facts” cloud their editorial “judgment.” Praise Him!
