Wanker du Jour
Bill Schneider, carrying McCain’s balls in his creaky wheelbarrow.
West Virginia has 1.93% of the pledged delegates in the nation, so it’s hardly a bellwether state. It’s the fifth oldest state demographically, it’s been largely abandoned by both parties, with the only economic upticks occurring during the terms of JFK and Clinton. Of course they love the Clintons. But what does that say about Obama?
Nothing. Most of the doubts about his ability to connect with working class white voters will be answered loudly in November. The GOP will play the racist card for all it’s worth and it’s clear Schneider would rather frame the question to be ‘what’s wrong with Obama?”
The correct question is “what’s wrong with racists?” And the correct answer is “they don’t know how to weigh American people on their merits”. And many will learn to, between now and November, despite the Grand Old Racist Party and its water carriers like Schneider.

Kevin,
What if the correct question is “How do we honestly weigh Obama’s merits out of this latest posting at Smirking Chimp?”–particularly in the light of just how the RePukes will use it as Swiftboat ammo.

oops, sorry, Kevin, I hit the “say it” button before pasting the URL. Here it is:

That made my eyes glaze over… and I didn’t see much about Obama in there, just Rezko.
Look, Obama came through the Chicago machine so of course he’s had contacts with shady folks. But thhere still remains little to suggest he did anything illegal or unethical. Lasyt I heard, Fitzgerald stated he had nothing to investigate Obama for.
So it sounds rather Whitewater-ish to me. I could be wrong, but Pringle’s been pushing that case for months now and I’ve yet to see any ‘there’ there.
