Crocodile Tears

Flaming hypocrite falls flat on her face again

I see that Our Lady of the Concentration Camps is saying that the Democrats distributed flyers incorrectly stating that the Republican’t candidate wanted to honor the founder of the KKK.

I have also found out that Stalkin’ Malkin is, once again, factually challenged on the issue she is reporting on:

In a City on the Move, a Civil War Issue Refuses to Die
By JOHN BRANSTON Published: August 5, 2005

MEMPHIS, Aug. 4 - A clamor always seems to accompany any mention here of Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, the cavalryman whose outnumbered men whipped the Yankees at Brice’s Crossroads in northern Mississippi.

[snip]

There have been other proposals for how the handle the Forrest issue, like giving generic names to the parks and adding monuments of black heroes. Last week, the mayor of Southaven, Miss., a fast-growing city where many white Memphians have moved over the years, said he would be happy to have the Forrest equestrian statue in Southaven.

In 2005, the mayor of Southaven, Mississippi, was Greg Davis. What a surprise, to find out that the flyers distributed just before the special election in Mississippi were factually correct!

For the record, I do not approve of these tactics, no matter who it is that uses them. This type of political campaigning causes me to have less respect for the organization doing it.

But, also for the record, I do not think that the party of race baiting, voter suppression, lies, and hypocrisy, nor anyone who supports them, should protest political dirty tricks operations from the other side until such time as they stop doing it themselves. There has been no comment from the Reich wing regarding the racially tinged Republican’t commercials being broadcast in Mississippi during the weeks leading up to this special election. Funny how, if a Republican’t smears his Democratic opponent, it seems to be well within the bounds of acceptable behavior - but, if a Democratic politician dares to try and do the same thing that Republican’ts have been getting away with for, like, forever, it is immediately denounced by the Reich wing, and the Democratic politician involved is required to respond to the Republican’t demands for accountability. why, it’s almost as though there’s a double standard involved or something….

I eagerly await an update from Ms. Maglalangadingdong that informs all and sundry that she was incorrect in her assertion that the flyer being distributed was lying when it stated that Greg Davis wanted to put a statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest in Southaven, Mississippi. But I’m not holding my breath…
