Petrol Lotta Love
Leave Exxon alone!
As a Christian in America, my sensibilities are often left numb by liberals’ relentless assaults on my Values, which is why I find Michelle Malkin is such a valuable Spirtual mentor: If she’s not pissed off about something — anything– she’s either dead or taking her smoking break. Michelle is relentless advocate for the legions of beleaguered underdogs in contemporary America, whether it’s the insurance programs being scammed by 12 year old freeloaders, or the defenseless financial service industries being exploited by Democrat lawmakers. Be assured that whenever there is the opportunity to shake her terrible, swift pompoms for the righteous cause of Justice, Michelle will be there.
The latest victims of The Left’s Persecution, she informs us, are those pillars of Faith and Community and tireless servants of Our Nation’s downtrodden, oil companies:
More gaseous demagoguery will be emitted on the Senate floor today as Harry Reid leads the crusade to impose a Jimmy Carter-era windfall profits tax on oil companies.Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters has already threatened to nationalize the oil industry.
Here’s Dick Durbin demonizing profits:
[…] “The oil companies need to know that there is a limit on how much profit they can take in this economy,” said Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois, the Senate’s No. 2 Democrat, warning that if energy prices are not reined in “we’re going to find ourselves in a deep recession.”
What is it with these liberal retards and their back-to-the-70’s policies? How soon until Barack Hussein and Michelle show up in cornrows and afro-puffs, respectively? I don’t know what sort of socialist Wonderland they’re living in, but when energy markets are unhindered by pesky governmental oversight, the result is low prices for consumers and the efficient allocation of resources. As any reputable economist can tell you, the current spike in oil prices is not a bubble, but rather the reflection of fundamental new market realities that are, as far as they can tell, permanent. To insinuate otherwise is pure communism. Praise Him!
