Terrorism? Bullshit. Quest didn’t break the law BECAUSE IT WAS THE LAW. And the other big telecoms? Look how much they paid and the guys at the top of the list. $9,659 apiece, on average. Not the majority of House Dems, just 105 of them.
Of course, Republicans got bought, too. They just sold out earlier.

Word is, Reid is voting against it. Obama has said he will vote for it only if immunity is cut out. Feingold & Dodd will filibuster telecomm immunity. If they do, it’ll take sixty votes to pass, and they don’t have that. It ain’t over yet. This may end up on next years docket. Maybe they can scrap it for a Congressional investigation of abuses of the Patriot Acts, and lock up some Reperps.
