A champion of the law provides an eloquent case
Chris Dodd spoke against cloture on the FISA Bill last night. Ever hear Barack Obama give a speech that brings a crowd to its feet? This one is better.
I’ve never heard Dodd assemble anything like this before. It should be required reading in American history classes forever. Do yourself a favor and read every word.
Call your Senators and say you support Dodd’s speech in every particular and you want them to vote against cloture, too. But read it first. As he covered sore points of recent history, it made me angry and sad but it also made me want to stand and cheer because he’s one that ‘gets it’ and is taking up the fight for every American alive today and those who will come tomorrow.
I hope his eloquence prevails and wins one for everyone.
