Gustav weakens, makes landfall; high risks remain

It’s dropped to a category 2, its center didn’t make a direct hit on New Orleans, but considerable risks remain to its western levees. And much of Louisiana remains at risk from the winds, rain and tornadoes.

In Industrial Canal, the water rise has reached the top of the levees and is lapping over a little.

And just as occurred during Katrina, I think NOLA.com is proving the best source of info. As well as several blogs noted here.
