Senator To Nowhere is guilty Guilty GUILTY!

Ted Stevens is convicted of all seven felony counts filed against him.

And with that, complete Democratic control of at least 60 Senate seats is assured, unless there’s another Republican vote theft at the ballot boxes.

Americans want our government to be unified, to be at full strength for the challenges before all of us. They know they can change direction in two years if their new government fails to mend some of the breaks our country has endured.

Team McCain has nothing left except to claim that all Democrats are bogeymen. Yet Ted Stevens, Duke Cunningham, Scooter Libby, Don Rumsfeld, Bob Taft, Bob Ney, Kenneth Blackwell, Alberto Gonzalez, Ernie Fletcher, Katherine Harris, Ahmad Chalabbi, Henry Paulson, Ben Bernanke and Alan Greenspan provide plenty of evidence to the contrary. As do others in this 2006 video:
.

.

We have nothing to fear but the fearmongers themselves. Oh, and the crooks.

Here’s the test:

1) Think back through the last twenty years and name all the Democratic officeholders who were convicted of a crime.

2) Add to that any Democratic President in the past 40 years who lost 100 American lives (a) to a terrorist attack, (b) in a natural disaster, and (c) in a military action or war. (if any accomplished more than one, count them again)

3) Subtract from that any Republican President in the past 40 years who lost 100 American lives (a) to a terrorist attack, (b) in a natural disaster, and (c) in a military action or war. (if any accomplished more than one, count them again)

No one can come up with a final total larger than the Republicans who’ve been convicted in the past 4 years. And consider that the Senate’s 220 years old and Stevens is only the fifth to be convicted of a crime and the first in 27 years.

We’ve seen the enemy of prosperity, fairness, responsible spending, the Constitution, the Geneva Convestions and lesser laws. And it’s not the Democratic majority.

John McCain is a war hero but he picked an awfully bad crowd to run with in 2008.
